I received notice again and am writing to advise you that the Public Health Act Ministerial Orders that put in place temporary measures to support commercial carriers during the COVID-19 response will not be extended, as the state of public health emergency has ended.

The Ministerial Order allowed for certificates of registration to be issued if an expired inspection certificate or decal was produced, if it expired between March 17 and May 15, 2020.

Effective May 16, 2020 all Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program certificates and decals, Out of Province Motor Vehicle Inspection certificates, and Salvage Motor Vehicle Inspection certificates that expired between March 17 and May 15, 2020 are required to be renewed immediately. Certificates of registration will only be considered if accompanied with valid certificates or inspections.
