For residents of Stettler, Alberta, and its surrounding regions, Auto Trust is the go-to solution for cooling system service needs. As temperatures vary, especially during extremely cold periods, ensuring your vehicle’s cooling system is in optimal condition becomes crucial. Our specialized service ensures your engine keeps running smoothly no matter the conditions.
The primary function of a car’s cooling system is to regulate the engine’s temperature, preventing it from overheating in the summer or freezing during the cold winter months. Key components of this system include the radiator, water pump, coolant antifreeze, and various hoses and valves. The engine coolant circulates, absorbing the heat from the engine and releasing it through the radiator. This continuous flow ensures that the engine maintains a consistent, optimal temperature.
Just like regular oil changes, your cooling system service is integral to your vehicle’s health. Here’s why:
Engine Protection: The coolant prevents the engine from overheating during hot weather and freezing during cold temperatures, ensuring longevity and performance.
Avoiding Major Repairs: Issues like a blown head gasket can arise from overheating. Regular checks can prevent such expensive repairs.
Ensuring Optimal Performance: A well-maintained cooling system ensures that your engine runs at its best, enhancing fuel efficiency and overall drive quality.
If your vehicle exhibits any of these signs, it’s time to consult with repair shops, preferably experts like us:
Overheating Engine: If the temperature gauge consistently indicates high, it’s a clear sign of issues with the cooling system.
Sweet Smell: A scent resembling maple syrup might indicate a coolant leak.
Coolant Discoloration: Engine coolant is typically green or orange. If the color appears muddy or milky, it’s time for a coolant flush.
Low Coolant Level: Regularly needing to top up the coolant level can point to potential leaks.
Cold Cabin: If your car’s heater isn’t warming up, the heater core, which is part of the cooling system, might be the culprit.
Visible Coolant Leaks: Spots or puddles under your vehicle can indicate leaks. Always refer to the owner’s manual to locate the coolant reservoir.
At Auto Trust, we pride ourselves on our meticulous approach to cooling system service in Stettler, AB. Our services include the following:
Coolant Flush: Over time, contaminants can pollute the coolant, reducing its efficiency. We provide a thorough coolant flush, ensuring fresh and clean coolant circulates through your system.
Water Pump Inspection and Replacement: As the heart of the cooling system, we ensure the water pump is in optimal condition, replacing if necessary.
Coolant Level and Quality Check: We inspect the coolant level and its quality, ensuring it’s free from contaminants.
Radiator Cap and Hose Inspection: A faulty radiator cap or damaged hoses can cause leaks. Our team checks these components for wear and tear.
Cooling System Pressure Test: This helps in detecting any hidden leaks or issues within the system.
While many manufacturers recommend a cooling system service every 30,000 miles, always refer to your owner’s manual for specific guidelines for your vehicle.
Ensuring your vehicle’s cooling system functions effectively is vital for the health of your engine and your safety. At Auto Trust in Stettler, AB, we’re not just another name among repair shops. We stand by our commitment to quality service, ensuring you drive away with peace of mind.
So, when it’s time for your next cooling system service, choose Auto Trust, and experience the difference of dedicated, expert care. Contact us today to book an appointment!

I had such a great experience with Auto Trust in Stettler. I was booked in for Friday morning and they were able to diagnose and fix my car all in the same day, which was already amazing. What really stood out though was how they went above and beyond, the weather was bad and I had all my kids home, so they actually delivered my vehicle right to my door. That kind of service is rare.
Throughout the whole process they talked me through everything clearly and never made me feel pressured. They genuinely tried to find me the best deals on the parts needed and took the time to explain everything so thoroughly. Their kindness and patience made a stressful situation feel easy.
It truly has that special small town feel where you feel taken care of and not just like another customer. They make you feel at home and they get the job done right. I’m so grateful for their help and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing honest, reliable service.
This is probably the most honest garage around. They are always fair with pricing. They support local business and staff and ownership are great.
Really knowledgeable, personable, and reasonably priced work! Wouldn’t go anywhere else in Stettler.

My car battery died this morning. Bought a new one at "Canada's Auto Store" only to be told they couldn't replace the old one for two days. I appealed to their common sense, but it had already left the building! Drove to AutoTrust, who had done great work for me last year, and they said, "No problem!" Turned out the battery I bought from that other place was NOT compatible with my car, so AutoTrust sourced a correct one and I was back on the road in just over three hours, lunch time included! Great job, folks. You are my go-to auto shop forever more!

AutoTrust has been the place where my family has always gotten our auto issues fixed. Super friendly and communicative team. I ask a lot of little questions and the receptionist always answers with joy. It’s not just a team but a family and that is shown through their work. They work till they find the issue. Their team is quick, proficient and always listening to your worries and concerns. They provide loaner vehicles which leaves no worries for how you’ll get from A to B whilst having work done. Highly recommend AutoTrust to anyone!

Brad and his staff are always very friendly, helpful and efficient in getting my vehicle needs taken care of. Whenever I have called, they have been able to get my vehicles in and repair them in a timely fashion, a few times under the original quote. I trust them to take care of with my vehicles in the same why I would personally. No new damage (scratches or minor dings) you find when you get it back home, like I have had with other shops.
Great friendly service
